Wii U is the successor of the popular Nintendo Wii gaming console. It is scheduled for a release in late 2012 and was unveiled in the entertainment expo of 2011. The system has been regarded as an 8^th generation gaming console which will provide an ultimate experience for the Wii fans. Also, the system will be able to display 1080 pixels graphics. The controller of the system was not fully described; however, there are claims that the controller will be a touch screen controller which will probably be the first controller of its kind. The system will be fully able to play games which are used in the Wii system and will be using similar accessories like the Wii Balance board and motion plus.

There are going to be a lot of 3^rd party games available for the Wii U and Nintendo has aimed more towards 3^rd party games and applications. The controller will be a fully touch sensitive and will be somewhat similar to the new Nintendo DS portable system.

Basically, the system will aim to compete with the main competitors which are PS3 and Xbox 360. There have been several complaints by a lot of Nintendo fans about the lack of HD in the game play. The Last Story

The Last Story is an action role-playing game developed by Mistwalkerand AQ Interactive, and published by Nintendo for the Wii.

The game had abilities like “gathering skills” which allow the Main character ‘Elza’ to draw enemies attention to buy time to cast his spells. Another ability that was provided to her is called “Focus” and is used to cast fire magic to destroy a bridge with enemies. Pointers show which allies are being targeted at any given time.

The game was given a score of 38/40 on its pre release in Japan. The Last Story topped the charts with over 114,000 units sold.

The Legend of Zelda: The Skyward Sword

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is an action-adventure game for the Wii console and the sixteenth entry in the Legend of Zelda series. The game uses the Wii Motion Plus system for sword-fighting and features a revised remote pointing system used for targeting.

Conduit 2

Conduit 2 is a first-person shooter video game developed by High Voltage Software for the Wii video game console. It is the sequel to The Conduit.

The game uses the “Quantum3” engine for the Wii and the high voltage software, allowing effects such as bump mapping, reflection, refraction and detail mapping to be implemented. Conduit 2 supports a large variety of Wii-add-ons like Motion Plus, Classic controller, PDP Headbanger Headset etc.

Kirby’s Epic Yarn, known inJapanas Keito no Kirby is a 2011 platform video game developed for the Wii video game console by Good-Feel and HAL Laboratory, and published by Nintendo.

It uses a whip-like ability to attack the enemies and can turn them into a ball of yarn (which can be kicked). Xenoblade Chronicles is a role-playing video game published by Nintendo and developed by Monolith Soft for the Wii console. The game follows a young man named Shulk who yields the energy blade called Xenoblade against the Mechon in order to save the world.
